Doctor Who | Alternative Pertwee Title Sequence
Not for reupload. Watch in 1440p!
Credit to Bernard Lodge for the footage used, and the logo design used too. This alternate intro was much more aimed at utilising as much unused howlaround footage as possible, especially the unused, almost full body, shot of Jon Pertwee in costume.. I also wanted to make sure I toned down the colour, as I feel the sheer amount of colour in the actual first Pertwee sequence was quite overwhelming. It isn’t near as spooky as it should’ve been, so I opted to use two fairly bold tones - red and blue.
This has been a fun little project, nothing too fancy, but just something to experiment with. I’m working on a much more elaborate collaboration at the moment, which will hopefully be very exciting on that in the future, as it’s taking a while!
Credit to Danny and Ian Stewart for use of their samples, and one of their theme mixes, which I used to create a new theme variation for this sequence.
