The USS Seahorse is on its seventh wartime patrol, assigned to chart a Japanese minefield in the Tsushima Strait between Japan and Korea. The submarine has been equipped with a top secret mine detector (FM sonar) to help with the work. USS Seahorse (SS-304) was a Balao-class submarine.
