I got a few used motorcycle brake rotors and decided to make a Karambit Knife from one.
I try to keep some of the shape and characteristics of the Rotor in the knife as a sort of memory of its origin.
The blade came out at around 58-59 Rockwell C, not the hardest but very wear resistant and I found out during finish and sharpening.
The Ferric Chloride with Apple vinegar gave it a nice grey satin finish.
I still don’t know if and what handle to make, thinking of Micarta or something of the sort and a Kydex Sheath.
Please let me know what you think in the comments below.
