JK Rowling has criticised Labour MP Lisa Nandy for her views on transgender issues. The author clashed with the MP on X formally known as Twitter, after she said “women’s rights are human rights and human rights are non-negotiable.“ in a tweet. Responding, Rowling said: “You said rapists should be transferred to women’s prisons if they self-identify as women. You called Women’s Place UK a hate group. Given that you’re one of the biggest reasons many women on the left no longer trust Labour to defend their rights, do you stand by those comments?“ Julia Hartley-Brewer is joined by author Douglas Murray who brands Lisa Nandy as a “nincompoop“. “Just because somebody says that they are a unicorn does not mean we have to pretend that they are a unicorn.
