With the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket for Artemis 1 finally stacked inside the VAB in Florida, it’s only a matter of time before the rocket is loaded on top of a Crawler Transporter and moved to it’s launch site at Pad 39B. This will be the first time since 1972 that a rocket capable of sending humans out of Low Earth Orbit left the VAB to one of the pads at Launch Complex 39.
This animation covers the first 4 miles of Artemis 1’s 239,000 mile trip to the Moon.
