Rare footage has emerged of Chinese peacekeepers watching the chaos in the Middle East through binoculars. Rockets are being fired, probably by Hezbollah, towards Israel from positions near a camp in Lebanon where the 22nd PLA peacekeeping contingent is stationed. In turn, Israeli aircraft are bombing Lebanon, as a result of which, on September 19, shrapnel from shells landing and exploding damaged the camp’s infrastructure. As previously reported, China has already condemned Israel’s actions and called for an investigation into the shelling of the UN Interim Peacekeeping Force in Lebanon.
