An unsettling love story set to a haunting yet beautiful rock ballad: Soldier of Fortune by Deep Purple. This music video features clips / scenes from the film Cold Mountain. The song was written by David Coverdale and Ritchie Blackmore and was originally released on Deep Purple’s 1974 album Stormbringer, It has become one of their most listened to song. Cold Mountain is a 2003 movie on the final days of the Civil War. It tells the story of a wounded Confederate army deserter (Jude Law) making his way home to meet the love of his life (Nicole Kidman).
