The Beatles ’I AM THE WALRUS’ 2024 Remix (Honoring The Original)

This is a remix of Giles Martin’s 2023 official remix of The Beatles’ classic “I Am The Walrus.“ He likely received more criticism for this remix than any other, as many felt he strayed too far from the original. With this in mind, I aimed to bring his remix closer to the original while still incorporating his improvements and capturing the essence of the 1967 stereo recording. For example, in my remix, you’ll notice the long fade-out sounds more like the original, as this is where Giles added extra sounds that weren’t part of the original. If they were present, they were buried so deeply that no one could hear them. In the first half of the recording, I removed the phasing effects from John Lennon’s lead vocal.
