The Story of Lazer Tag: A Toy Gun in the 80’s. What Could Go Wrong?

For a brief time in the 80’s Lazer Tag was all the rage. Lazer Tag: The Game had storybooks, lunchboxes, puzzles and even a short-lived animated series; Lazer Tag Academy. But it didn’t last long and it wasn’t helped by the same controversy that beset another toy gun line in the 80’s: Entertech. After a fatal shooting the Lazer Tag brand lost some of it’s luster but laser tag as a game is still going strong to this day. NOTE: LAZER TAG & PHOTON ARE DIFFERENT PROPERTIES.
