Hyundai first teased the Santa Cruz pickup as a concept vehicle back at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show, and after a long wait, we are finally getting a chance to see the final product. The 2022 Santa Cruz uses a unibody construction, like the Honda Ridgeline, forgoing the more traditional body-on-frame construction that you’ll find in traditional trucks such as the Toyota Tacoma, Ford Ranger, and Chevy Colorado. We weren’t able to drive the Santa Cruz at this event, but if it’s anything close to the Ridgeline, then this type of construction should give the Hyundai pickup a more comfortable and refined ride than most other midsize trucks.
