Integrated Boost Multilevel Converter (IBMC) for IPT systems (7.7 kW)

A novel multilevel converter topology, suitable for high-power Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) systems. The prototype is SAE J2954 WPT2/Z2 standard compliant. The DC-DC efficiency is higher than 90% through 250% coupling variation (k = ). The switches used in an IBMC cost a fraction of similar power level prototype systems reported to date. Full paper on:
