Celebrity Eclipse Medivac by Royal Danish Airforce

While sailing between Warnemunde and Le Harve on 4th June 2014 a guest was taken ill and required medical treatment on land. The Royal Danish Airforce airlifted the patient and his wife while hovering over the helipad at the front of the ship. The helicopter was too large to fit on the helipad and was required to hover while flying sideways as the ship was still traveling at 18 knots and incredible bit of flying!!
