The deadly storm that hit the California coast with gale-force winds and heavy rain is far from over. Now big cities, including Los Angeles, San Francisco and Sacramento, are hit by a powerful cyclone. A low pressure storm system came in from the Pacific bringing damaging winds, excessive rainfall and extremely heavy snowfall over much of California and southern Oregon In central California, wind gusts had already reached hurricane strength evening, when the heaviest rain and strong winds hit the Bay Area.
