Baby bat does flappies: This is Bawkie

Bawkie is an orphan Black Flying-Fox in my care. He’s about 3 weeks old. I love it when they start to flap their wings. In a week or so he’ll be very industrious at flapping and put a lot of concentration and energy into it. He will be raised till he is old enough to go to creche with other babies and learn how to be a batty again. He has been born very late in the season - and is younger than most of the other babies in care, by about 7-8 weeks. He will be buddied up with some other late season babies so they can be released as a group.
