China Completes Test Ignition of Largest Solid-fuel Rocket Motor

China has completed the test ignition test of its largest solid-fuel rocket motor in the northwest city of Xi’an. With a diameter of three meters, the solid-fuel rocket motor ran for 100 seconds after ignition, meaning that technologies of the engine can be used in space missions. “The success marks a new height of our country’s rocket-propelling ability with solid propellant, which ranks China among the top four in the world.
