New Audi A6 e-tron vs 250mph Streamliner... In A Wind Tunnel!

This is Audi’s all-new, all-electric rival for the BMW i5 and Mercedes EQE: the A6 e-tron. Available in Sportback and Avant guises, super-slippery design ensures they’re the most aerodynamic Audis ever. But don’t think aero only matters now because EVs are obsessed with range; all the way back in the 1930s, Audi’s Auto Union forebearer was obsessed with streamline racing cars. To see just how far aerodynamics have come in nearly a century, we took the Auto Union Type C Stromlinie, the innovative Audi 100, and the new Audi A6-etron Avant, to the company’s wind tunnel for a little show ‘n’ tell.
