Listen To The Electric Porsche Taycan’s Fake Acceleration Sounds
Electric engines are by nature, nearly soundless, but Porsche has an answer for that with the ’Electric Sport Sound’ system that’s standard on the $185,000 Taycan Turbo S and a $500 option on lesser Taycan models.
The system essentially plays an audio clip that can be heard both inside and out of the car, seemingly inserting some rumble to the electric powertrain’s whine during acceleration.
