American Melody Cruise Review - Mississippi River Fall Foliage Cruise - American Cruise Lines

Come along with me for a 7-day cruise up the Mississippi river on American Melody... the latest river cruise ship from American Cruise Lines. We start at the Four Seasons hotel in St Louis, and then hop on a bus for a tour of the city, before heading over to where the ship is waiting for us in Alton, Illinois. On day 2, we visit Hannibal, Missouri... the boyhood home of Samuel Clemens, also known as Mark Twain... the author of The Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn. On day 3, we had a fun day in Fort Madison, Iowa... visiting a replica of the historic fort and trading post that the city’s name comes from. I also take a tour of a maximum-security penitentiary, explore a classic Santa Fe caboose at the train station, and stumble on to a barbecue joint with some great brisket.
