Various shots as they queue up to receive their pay. Good shots of sailors from all parts of the world, some chat as they queue up. M/S as one signs off and collects his pay from the captain. Various shots as men queue up for replacement ration and identity cards destroyed or lost at sea. M/S as a taxi pulls up and three of the newly signed off men get out and walk around trying to find something to spend their money on. One stops at a florists to buy flowers for his lady. He emerges with a big bunch, shakes hands with his two friends and leaves. The other two walk by the Serpentine then sit down and have a cigarette. M/S’s
