The Free & Imperial City of Frankfurt Germany, Old World (Pre-1900) Photographs & History + Map

Howdy ya’ll. Today is a special video. We will be discussing Frankfort, Germany for most of the video, beginning with a highly detailed, some would say made-to-scale, map of Frankfort which led me down the path to research this city. The Map is titled “Malerischer Plan von Frankfurt am Main und seiner nächsten Umgebung - 1864”. For all intents and purposes, it details every single building, the entire city, of Frankfurt. We will zoom in and explore this map thoroughly. The architecture of the city is a never ending geometric paradise. Then we will look at over 150 photographs of Old World Frankfurt, all taken before the year 1900. In the images you see an abundance of unique and downright exquisite architecture, the likes of which are seldom seen on the scale of Frankfort.
