World’s First Wingsuit Landing into Boxes Without Using Parachute

The World’s First Wingsuit Landing without a parachute into boxes, this stunt was performed by Stuntman Gary Connery, who jumped from a helicopter at 2,400ft flying in a wingsuit and then lands without deploying a parachute, using just a pile of cardboard boxes to break his fall. Gary Connery at the time of the jump in 2012, was 42-year-old. I did a story awhile ago, about Luke Aikins, who did the world’s first skydive from an airplane with no parachute into a net, and he performed this stunt in 2016. After posting that video, so many people in the comments section stated, he was not the first, Gary Connery, who wingsuit landed with no parachute into boxes in 2012, was the first. Now they are sort of correct, Gary was definitely the first to person to ever wingsuit land with no parachute into boxes, but it’s a totally different type of stunt. Gary wingsuit landed into boxes, and Luke landed into a net, both with no parachute, so they are similar stunts, so people can be forgiven for thinking they are the same type stunt, but they are not for 1 obvious reason. Luke had no way of slowing his decent, he had to land in that net, but Gary was wearing a wingsuit, which gives you a basic ability to fly, with a wingsuit you can level out your flight and slow down, you can even pull up into a stall and drop to the ground at less that terminal velocity, and probably survive. But Luke had no choice but to land in the net or he would have died. But no matter how you look at it, they are 2 different stunts.
