Russia claims to have destroyed an Abrams tank on the frontline near Avdiivka

The Russians claim to have destroyed their first American Abrams tank during a battle close to the city of Avdiivka, which they recently captured from Ukraine. Footage of the tank prowling the frontline taken by a Russian drone appeared online February 26, and was quickly followed by more footage which seems to show it in flames. Though not confirmed, several reputable Ukrainian accounts claimed the tank had been destroyed. It would be the first loss of a US tank in the war if the footage turns out to be genuine. It comes just a few days after the first confirmed sighting of an Abrams hammering Russian lines near Avdiivka using its main cannon.
