United States Ambassador Kelly Craft on her Appointment to the United Nations

On her first day at the United Nations (UN), United States Ambassador Kelly Craft said, “I will defend the America’s values and interest, I will stand by our friends and allies, I will advocate for the poor and weak.” Speaking to reporters in New York today (12 Sep), Ambassador Craft said, “I come to the United Nations not only as the President’s emissary but also as a voice of America’s unwavering commitment to democracy, freedom, human rights, and whenever possible, the peaceful resolution of conflicts.” She added, “in a world marked by humanitarian crisis, the geopolitical challenges, a strong America leadership is absolute critical and I intend to provide it.” The new US Ambassador also reiterated, “I will never fail to work with those genuinely wish to advance the calls of human dignity.” Earlier this morning, Craft presented her credentials to the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
