It’s hard to find words for this. It just came so out of the bushes for me. Tom and Architects has been one of my biggest musical inspirations and influences for over 7 years. Tom’s talent both as a guitarist and a songwriter was remarkable and monumental. His and the band’s work has always shaped the whole metalcore genre to a whole new direction. They are the spark that still keeps the genre alive and fresh and succeeds to shape metal music as a whole. Rest easy, Tom Searle. My utmost condolences goes to Dan, Sam, Alex, Adam and the whole Searle family and friends. Stay strong. “The ’Swan Song’ is a metaphorical phrase for a final gesture, effort, or performance given just before death or retirement. The phrase refers to an ancient belief that swans sing a song more beautiful than ever in the moment just before death, having been silent during most of their lifetime.“
