Tribunal for Putin: How Ukraine Is Changing The Game of International Justice

When Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine in 2022 he put the international justice system to a crucial test. To wage an aggressive war means to commit a supreme international crime. It is forbidden by the United Nations Charter, and by the Statute of International Criminal Court, which is a part of the UN system. Still, there is a gap in that system. As of today no court can even indict Vladimir Putin for a crime of aggression.
