SpaceX Raptor engine, stand test firing

Full test stand firing of the engines that will be used on Starship and Super Heavy. The spool up sounds right before ignition and spool down right after shutdown are pretty awesome! Also cool full blown Mach diamonds! The Raptor is the first full flow staged combustion rocket engine to actually be flown. It runs on LOX and liquid methane. This footage is SpaceX’s, not mine.
