EU’s Biggest Ever Wildfire Hits Twelfth Day In Greece The considerable wildfire raging near the Greek city of Alexandorpoulis has entered its 12th day after already burning an area larger than New York City, causing 20 of the 21 wildfire deaths recorded last week. This blaze - focused in a largely inaccessible forest region near the Turkish border commonly used by border-crossing migrants - is the largest in the EU since 2000, when such data began being recorded. Six helicopters, four planes, and over 100 vehicles are assisting around 475 firefighters on the ground. France and Spain pledged extra aircraft to join those sent from Germany, Sweden, Croatia, Cyprus, and the Czech Republic. Subscribe to RT Источник: RT News
