Syria: Clashes rage on near Aleppo airport as army makes massive gains

Clashes raged in Aleppo’s Sheikh Lutfi district near the site of the city’s airport, Monday, as the Syrian Arab Army attempted to take further strategic ground after making large gains against opposition forces over the weekend. The fighting comes as a total of over 3,000 civilians managed to escape eastern Aleppo to government-controlled areas, following the fall of the opposition-held Jabal-Badro and Masaken Hanano districts.
