Roberto Bertero at the organ of Turin’s Santuario della Consolata (Church of the Virgin of the Consolation). In this video I am playing my own organ transcription of a wonderful work composed by Antonio Vivaldi, lento ed espressivo “alla siciliana”, from his Sonata for Cello and continuo in E Minor, RV 40. This composition is well known indeed, because the great director Stanley Kubrick included it during the most touching moments of in his famous movie “Barry Lyndon“. Welcome to this new YouTube channel aimed at providing some quality online documentation concerning the “Camillo Guglielmo Bianchi“ organ located in the Consolata Sanctuary, Turin (Italy). Audio or audio-video file will be regularly uploaded, all recorded LIVE.
