The stories of Pabuji Rathore have been recited by the Bhopa community of Rajsthan for centuries through the Phad -a style religious scroll painting. These recitals take place all night long. Pabuji is believed to be the incarnation of Laxman, brother of Ram. Communities in Rajasthan worship him as the Protector of camels and other domesticated animals.
