“Glitter Box“ by the High 70s (official music video) Directed by Giuseppe Asaro Starring Natalie Denise Sperl, Chris Williams and Princess Frank “Glitter Box” came to me in a bar after a show. The DJ was playing the Cramps, and these lovely ladies rolled in, well lit and dressed in trashy glam style, and immediately began dancing wildly. I imagined their glorious joy ride from hot to hot mess as Kitty Glitter. “She’s older than she feels. She still looks good in heels!” The High 70s came to life in the dark Los Angeles clubs, where song writer, Chris Williams, felt the persistent connection to the music of of late 70s era, when glam and garage rock turned into punk, new wave and post punk. Iggy, Bowie, Joey, Johnny, Blondie, the Cramps, Joy Division.. the music exploded with dark energy and decadence. The High 70s sound taps this energy and infuses it with stories, real and imagined, of the club goers and rock ’n’ rollers who inhabit this world.
