Visit Visit our website Part 2: “The Executioners“, aka “Hitler’s Executioners“, dates to 1961 and was based on articles by Joseph J. Heydecker and Johannes Leeb in “Münchener Illustrierte“. The narration was also written by Heydecker and John Leeb; the film was directed by Felix Von Podmanitzky and produced by Joseph Harris. The movie tells the story of the Nuremberg trials, contrasted with events that took place before and during WWII, as the Germans took over much of continental Europe and began a reign of terror. Chilling testimonies by the defendants (who do not show any signs of remorse) are shown, including that of Herrmann Göring, Alfred Seyss-Inquart, Rudolf Hess, Konstantin von Neurath, Joachim von Ribbentrop, and Alfred Rosenberg. Part 1 ends at the turning point of the war, with the winter defeat suffered by the Germans at Stalingrad. The Nuremberg trials were held between 1945-46 by the Allies against representatives of the defeated Nazi Germany, for plotting and carrying out invasions of other countries, and crimes against humanity.
