Another patch today using the delay mode of Monsoon which I’m really enjoying. It’s a little shorter as my camera turned off partway through recording which I didn’t realise until after sadly. I did manage to catch the sun this time though xD
I’ve started trying to learn some amateur mastering techniques so I’ve given that a go on the audio for this patch. Mostly, bringing the loudness up more so I’ll be interested to see how it fairs after Youtube’s normalisation. Hopefully you can tell a difference =D
Thanks alot for stopping by, and hope you enjoy =D
Patch Notes:
Recorded with Behringer UMC-202HD interface into DAW.
Modules:
Behringer CP1-a power supply
Pittsburgh Micro-sequence
Micro Ornament and Crime (Benisphere firmware)
After Later Audio Baker (MI Peaks clone)
After Later Audio Beehive (MI Plaits clone)
After Later Audio Monsoon (MI Clouds clone)
Instruo Ochd
ALM Tangle Quartet
Microsequence isn’t patched for this one.
Ornament and Crime is running the ProbDiv/ProbMeloD combo to provide generative gate and pitch cv. (The screen is off during recording this time)
Baker is taking the gate from O_c to trigger an AD envelope, which is modulating Morph on Beehive. Both the attack and decay are being quite heavily modulated by Ochd to change the shape of the notes over time.
Beehive is in one of the DX7 modes, so morph being modulated moves the sound through the presets envelope. Timbre is also being modulated by Ochd. Audio is going to Monsoon.
Monsoon is in delay mode with a little bit of feedback and lots of reverb. Diffusion (density) and the filter (texture) are being modulated by Ochd.
Tangle Quartet is attenuating the LFOs going to Monsoon and mixing the final output into the audio interface.
Some post processing was done in the DAW, mainly slight EQing and limiting to bring the loudness up slightly.
