Yah Rayeh - Brickwork Lizards

Filmed by Lost and Found Productions in the summer of 2015, at the Church of Saints Mary & Edburga, Stratton Audley, Oxfordshire. Yah Rayeh is a ballad of an Algerian immigrant in France, composed by Dahmane El Harrachi in the 1970s. It was covered in the 1990s by Rachid Taha, and its theme of the displaced exile, longing to go home, seems more relevant today than ever.
