’Without trucks Australia stops’: Truckies concerned over AdBlue shortage

Road Freight NSW CEO Simon O’Hara says he thinks it is time for government to “act now and act quickly” on the issue of AdBlue shortage. AdBlue is made from the chemical urea, which China has banned from being exported, leaving Australia with little supply to use for vehicles. “The ban on urea coming to Australia, amongst other countries, effects all facets of the freight industry; half of Australia’s trucks use AdBlue, it’s a way in which we combat pollutants from the diesel engines,” Mr O’Hara told Sky News host Chris Smith.
