Dien Bien Phu in the Air

Fifty years ago, the Vietnamese army and people defeated the most advanced US Air Force in the skies over Hanoi during the “Dien Bien Phu in the Air” campaign, internationally known as the 1972 Christmas bombing campaign. The triumph prompted the US government to return to the negotiating table and finally sign the Paris Peace Accords to withdraw troops from Vietnam.
