Getting TEFL Job in the PRC for Non-Native Speakers. Recently, many jobs are available in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) in China. The Chinese Ministry of Education reports that some 523,700 Chinese students went abroad to study in 2015 (ICEF, 2016). This, among other trends, creates a great demand for EFL teachers. Articles about what EFL teachers should expect in Chinese universities tend to be anecdotal. This presentation will discuss how to get a job teaching EFL in China.
