Photo Walk Becomes Near Disaster - White Rock Pier Storm Collapse

This is the real story about how a simple photo walk resulted in a helicopter rescue at the White Rock Pier when it collapsed during the windstorm of December 2018 after being hit by 12 sailboats that were being pushed by the wind. I was there and I shot the video of the collapse and the helicopter rescue. This is the first hand account of how six people were trapped at the end of the pier and came close to losing their lives. This is the real story of what happened on the pier during the storm and how a photo walk turned into a life threatening event that resulted in the destruction of the pier.
