Lick, The by Steve Brown

This chart is a very clever piece composed by Steve Brown. Inspired by a YouTube video collage of jazz soloists playing a common sequence of notes, this piece uses “the lick” in a variety of unison and harmonized permutations. Written with the Jazz Journey Series in mind, this chart is sure to get a rousing reception when played at concerts and festivals.
