Rose Anvil, the king of destroying boots with a saw blade, has built an indestructible, yet approachable version of our Original Packer. Take the upper of a pointed-toe Packer, put it on a Smokejumper Last (4811), keep the Original Packer heel, and the result is a custom style that has never been featured in our standard collection. It’s a beast.
The specifications of the Rose Anvil x White’s Drifter Boot combine the greatest qualities from our legacy models. The 4811 Last has been in service for more than 100 years. It’s the historical standard for every Pacific Northwest worker. The arch support has been tested against every working condition. It stabilizes the foot for optimal performance throughout the day. The 10-inch upper comes standard in many of our logger, firefighter, and lineman boots. It supports the ankle and protects the movement of the leg against harsh surroundings. The underslung heel — with its exact angle to the earth being perfected by Otto White — is meant to resist the repeated pounding from hard surfaces, and not just for walking, but standing.
Make no mistake, this is a work boot. Riding, walking, or standing, it has the bones of our original models with a touch of Cowboy style that we introduced with our pointed-toe Packer during the 1980s. After years of testing the toughness of every boot on the market, Rose Anvil has built another beast for your collection.
