High Gain Antenna Simulation

Simulated electric field of the high gain dielectric lens antenna design is shown. The structure is fed from a rectangular waveguide, then the EM field is focused by the lens and radiated. Simulation is performed in the InventSim simulator with 3D FEM. When observing the isosurfaces of the electric field, “bubbles“ of focused energy are visible. It looks like air bubbles in the water - but it is electromagnetics... Every design can be fun if you can see the results using the different perspective.
