I wanted to start the year off with an original piece since it’s been a while since I’ve done one of these unprompted. The inspiration (or I guess thought process) behind this track was originally some notion along the lines of “missable end-game optional boss that you stumble on too early and it kills you instantly“ or “that really cryptic in-game encounter that you just barely get through and breaks established lore conventions up until that point“ and just plain ol “final boss battle theme“. Eventually this idea morphed into something cryptozoological or paranormal, since I kinda liked the idea of whatever you’re battling
