Casting The SLAPPER Sword From Scrap Aluminum Ingots - DIY Metal Sword Making

In this video I will be casting the Burgarean slapper sword from the TV show Bob’s Burgers. I modeled this sword off the episode “The Gayle Tales“ which features Louise using this slapper sword. After modeling the sword, I 3D printed it and made a mold of the sword in petrobond sand. I then melted down some scrap aluminum ingots and poured the molten metal into the mold. This was probably the biggest piece I have cast as it weighs almost 7lbs in aluminum and I had to use my largest crucible. I finished by sanding the sword and using a wire brush to give it an even finish. This is obviously not a practical sword one bit as it is really top heavy and just awkward.
