War of the Worlds: Survival | Full Game Walkthrough | No Commentary

Today we have something very special in the form of the War of the Worlds Survival Game which was created by only one developer. It’s an indie game where you can walk around the British countryside as the aliens from Mars start invading. Though the premise and setting is quite cool and original, one should still only see this game as kind of a tech demo. It does not hold up a lot when it comes to gameplay. You just run around a bit and look for food while trying to avoid the alien tripods. There are various villages to visit, but there is nothing in particular that you can do there. Simple quests or even smaller enemy types might have made it a bit more engaging. Your stamina bar also runs out really quickly which makes traveling painfully slow. Though I think at it’s base there is something interesting here I do think this game still needs a lot of polish to make it feel engaging and fun to play. I DO think that the survival game genre would be a perfect game type to be combined with War of the World
