’How I Write Songs’ - 2 - Spontaneous Music Seminar - Sergey Denisov (lower lake)

hi folks, i’m really excited to say that i’ve finished the first stage of transcribing! which is the rhythm. guitars for ’Hey Joni’ song. it took me 5 days, 3 to 5 hours a day. yes, it’s true, i can’t help incorporating these beautiful complex rhythms into the composition when i write guitar for a song. it’s just my nature and my soul so now i’m ready to dive myself into the next stage of putting myself on a piece of manuscript paper, which means i’m entering the world of harmonies, melodies, surprising chords, crying bending notes, nuances that make music so beautiful, See you! S / June 1st, 2014 ...music/songwriting for me is like putting together a jigsaw puzzle. first i improvise (vocals, piano, guitar, bass) and i record my improvisation, than i listen to these pieces of imagination and choose phrases that i like the most, and than place them into one special track (pro tools) that eventually becomes part of a song. See you! S / September 3, 2012
