“Love Me or Leave Me,“ written by Walter Donaldson and Gus Kahn in 1928, the title song from the soundtrack of the 1955 MGM film of the same name, was a major hit for Doris Day, who had the starring role as singer Ruth Etting. It was included on the Columbia LP, Doris Day’s Greatest Hits, released in 1958, and available on CD on the Collectors Choice label.
