Phil Minton’s Feral Choir at the Hatton Gallery, Newcastle

Final performance following Phil Minton’s Feral Choir workshop at the Hatton Gallery in Newcastle during Helen Petts’ exhibition Throw Them Up and Let Them Sing. The choir explores improvisation and extended vocal techniques with trained and untrained voices. The exhibition features the film of the same name in which Petts’ followed Kurt Schwitters’ route from Nazi Germany to Ambleside via a remote island in Norway and features musicians Phil Minton, Roger Turner, Sylvia Hallett and Adam Bohman. 28 June t
