Filmed At Italian Roof Garden (1931)

“Whether their parts are grave or gay movie-camera folk always enjoy a genial evening...“ Panning shot of diners at tables beside a dance floor. They are all dressed very glamorously. “...especially Moyna McGill and Queenie Thomas - “ M/S of two tables of smartly dressed folk. Moyna in the foreground smokes a cigarette. “And Florence Turner and Stuart Blackton - see if you can recognise them - “ A table of diners seen in C/U. One woman wears an incredible headdress with lots of peacock feathers and beaded fringe. One of the men (who wears a monocle) holds up a lit match and a woman in the foreground blows it out. “The snow-fight - in one episode - beats the last Tube rush.“ The smartly dressed folk stand on the dance floor then suddenly run towards a pile of white pom poms. They grab handfuls of the “snowballs“ then begin throwing them at each other. M/S of the dance floor as couples glide around cheek to cheek. Some of the party-goers are in fancy dress including one couple dressed as pierrots.
