In this particular episode, the Icelandic family explores Scotland, showcasing the historic Traquair House and Highland gatherings in Lochearnhead. Although the production date is unspecified, it is possible that this footage was captured during their second global expedition, as chronicled in “Three Passports Adventure“ (1961), suggesting it may have been filmed in the late 1950s. The “Wonders of the World“ TV show was syndicated in over 40 other US cities, and 11 foreign countries, and most episodes are held in the Smithsonian Human Studies Film Archive. After he retired from moviemaking, Hal Linker wrote a book entitled, “Three Passports To Adventure: The Story Of America’s Most Famous Traveling Family“.
