Custom Tesla Swapped Squarebody Roll Cage! - Electric C10 Ep. 12

This week is all about safety! We’re building a roll cage for the Twin Tesla Squarebody and Donny is a tube-bending mad man! While we wanted to save weight in the EV C10 by using chromoly, we didn’t have the time to wait for the nation wide chromoly shortage to end, so we had to go with some DOM! We start with a rough sketch of the main-hoop shape, get the measurements, and then cut and bend the DOM perfectly in one shot. From there we are able to start building the rest of the supports. We have some wicked looking door bars fabricated to let Mikey Rolls sit comfortably in our Status seats and bracing going to our rear subframe that punches through the back of our cab, so that we can still use actual glass on our back window!
